Information we use

We may process subscriber business names, work contact details, service preferences, support records, subscription administration information, feedback, B2B outreach records, suppression records and public business or regulatory information used to create ScopeMill products.

Why we use it

We use customer information to provide and administer services, manage payments and support customers. We use relevant public corporate contact information for proportionate B2B marketing and maintain suppression records to honour opt-outs. Where personal data is involved, the applicable bases may include contract, legitimate interests and legal obligations.

B2B outreach

ScopeMill may send a limited number of B2B messages to corporate business addresses where a ScopeMill product may be relevant. We use public business contact details, do not use tracking pixels and keep suppression records so objections are honoured.

A public regulatory event is not treated as proof that an organisation wants to buy a service. Recipients can object or opt out and ScopeMill will stop direct marketing to that address while retaining the minimum information needed to prevent further contact.

Traffic PI

Traffic PI uses Traffic Commissioner Applications & Decisions, current operator-licence information, public company information and public business sources to check operator identity, licence details and contact routes. Subscriber details are used to administer the subscription, deliver the service and provide support.

Shipped Balance

The public Shipped Balance page does not connect to a visitor's Zoho account or collect Zoho Inventory transaction data. Shipped Balance is offered as a limited paid pilot.

If you start the pilot, Stripe handles the payment details and ScopeMill may use business contact details, organisation name, Zoho data-centre domain and workflow or configuration information needed for onboarding and the configuration fit check. Customers should not submit Zoho passwords, OAuth tokens, API keys, payment-card details or unnecessary customer personal data.

If a customer authorises Shipped Balance to connect to Zoho Inventory, the pilot may process the organisation settings and transaction records needed for the supported workflow, including Sales Orders and line identifiers, Packages, Shipment Orders and existing invoices, and may create a Draft invoice. Required permissions are disclosed before authorisation and are limited to the agreed workflow. ScopeMill does not use Shipped Balance to automatically send invoices or mark them as paid.

Sources and providers

Information may come from you, your organisation's public website, official public-sector datasets and other public business sources. We use service providers for hosting, payments and email delivery, including Cloudflare, Stripe and the configured email provider. Payment-card details are handled by Stripe rather than this website. We do not sell customer contact data.

International processing

Some service providers may process personal data outside the United Kingdom. Where UK restricted-transfer rules apply, ScopeMill uses or relies on an applicable lawful transfer mechanism, such as UK adequacy regulations or contractual safeguards, as appropriate.

Automated decision-making

ScopeMill does not use personal data to make solely automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals.

Retention

We keep customer and account records for as long as needed to provide the service and meet legal or accounting duties. Outreach records are retained only as reasonably necessary for the campaign and compliance. Suppression records may be retained longer so an opt-out remains effective.

Your rights

Where UK data-protection law applies, individuals may have rights including access, correction, deletion, restriction and objection. An objection to use of personal data for direct marketing will be honoured. You may also complain to the Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.

Contact and marketing opt-out

Email [email protected] for privacy questions, data-rights requests or marketing opt-outs. You can also reply "no thanks" or "unsubscribe" to a ScopeMill marketing email.
